GENTLE GIANTS by Jomike Tejido

In this exhibit he depicts these friendly animals against backdrops of colorful seascapes. The white spots that adorn these meek creatures’ bodies are like lights amidst the majestic blueness of the sea.  For Tejido, these serve as beacons to guide us in a path of conservation.  A message that the artist wishes, through his artworks, to pass on to succeeding generations.

Tejido’s works have been exhibited in the U.S., Paris, Singapore and Japan, where he had been a runner-up in the 16th Noma Concours Picture book illustrations (2007).

He has illustrated over 30 children’s books, some of which he also authored.

Jomike is an Architecture graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas.  He divides his time among his architecture practice, painting, and family.
